Terms of Use
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover the Valor app and modernmanofvalor.com, run by Modern Man of Valor (Spencer Sutton, Birmingham, Alabama). By creating an account or using Valor, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Valor.
Who can use Valor
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, and they agree to these terms on your behalf. You’re responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens on your account.
What Valor is, and isn't
Valor is a tool for discipline, prayer and brotherhood. It is not counseling, therapy, medical care or a crisis service, and nothing in it is professional advice. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.
Tribes and what you post
A tribe is a private group of brothers. Everyone in it is trusting the others with honest things, so these rules apply to everything you post, send or share:
- No sexual or pornographic content of any kind.
- No harassment, threats, bullying or hate toward anyone.
- No violence, or encouragement of self-harm or illegal acts.
- Don’t share another man’s confession or private words outside his tribe without his consent.
- No spam, advertising or impersonation.
Valor has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any post and block any user from inside the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and remove anyone who posts it.
You own what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the members of the tribe you shared it with, only so Valor can work. You can delete your posts at any time.
Ending your account
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time (Settings, then Delete account). We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
Our content
The devotionals, readings, videos, recordings and design in Valor belong to Modern Man of Valor or are used with permission. They’re for your personal use. Scripture quotations are from the Berean Standard Bible and the King James Version, both in the public domain.
No warranty
Valor is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Modern Man of Valor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Valor.
Apple
If you downloaded Valor from the App Store, these terms are between you and Modern Man of Valor, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for Valor or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. Apple’s own Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app or by email when a change matters. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
